A: I first picked up a camera seriously as a high schooler in an art elective photography class.  I began to use a new art form to document my life and the lives of my friends.  I continued this hobby into college taking fine art photography at Ohio State while getting my nursing degree.   In 2012 I decided that as much as I loved my career as a nurse I wanted to make my hobby a profession and I started my business!

A: I've photographed over 200 weddings as the lead photographer, and more portrait sessions than I've kept track of.  Getting to document love for 10+ years is such an honor and it is so sweet that I still have clients from long ago that I get to see from time to time to document the important milestones in their family!

A: Honestly, it comes down to a budget question. Unlimited budget - then sure, you'll get more beautiful photos. Personally, I say no --- unless you have more than 200 guests AND you want specific focus on them during cocktail hour and/or you want the exact same moment captured from two different angles OR if you have a really large wedding venue that would be difficult to move between two areas quickly. Otherwise, I have personally photographed more than 200 weddings and feel very confident in my ability to cover the day. Every single couple I have ever worked with has been 100% happy. Even for my own wedding, I hired one photographer, not two. Why? Because I had either the budget for one amazingly talented photographer or two photographers with a lesser amount of talent and experience and quality. So, I went with quality and experience. That said, I can totally hire one for your wedding if you have a specific need on your special day .

A: That totally depends on your needs. You can use the photos for your save-the-dates, invitations, website registries, guest books, framed prints for your guest table, bar, and your house... and of course Facebook & Instagram! Plus, it's a way for you to get a little practice in front of the camera before your big day and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. :) Personally, I highly recommend it. And heck, it's also a really great way to add to your experience as an engaged couple. Furry friend? Bar you love? Place you first met? Lets have fun at one of those spots! 

A: I am and always have been a Canon girl.  I shoot on two Canon R6 professional cameras. Both are literally on me at all times throughout your wedding day so I never have to worry about changing lenses, switching memory cards, or changing batteries. Every moment matters - and this is where the 10+ years of experience really kicks in. To get really technical Typically I have a 50mm prime on one camera and a 70-200 zoom on the other!

A: Totally! But I want you feeling 1,000% comfortable and excited about the quality of your photographs before placing orders on those. That way, you only order exactly what you want, when you want, and when you know with confidence that they are going to look amazing on your walls and in your fine art heirloom albums. And all of this is done & ordered right through your online gallery!  If you know ahead of time that you'd like a piece of art in your custom collection I do offer a 25% discount on that art item. 

A: Yes, I do! Traditional payments are $1000 due at the time of booking (within a week) and the final balancce is due 14 days prior to your wedding day. But, if you wanted to do the payment plan, I can stretch it into equal 1/3's or 1/4's if that works best for you. Just let me know what you prefer, and I will make it happen. It's that easy.

In the super unlikely event that I am too ill, injured, or there's some other emergency, I have a list of colleagues that we can call on to replace me that have similar styles of photography & editing. That said, in the 10+ years I've been doing this full-time, I have never even been 60 seconds late. You're in good hands. I promise.

A: Love that question the most! To book me for your special day, simply let me know what you want included in your custom collection: 1) Number of hours of coverage, 2) Engagement session (optional), 3) Second photographer or none (optional), and 4) Any fine art you'd like to pre-order.  From there I will make a custom collection and shoot you an invoice so you can see your collection all together.
